So you’ve brewed up some fantastic Tyler’s Coffee, enjoyed several cups…and now you have a bunch of used grounds. Don’t just toss them in the trash! Used coffee grounds have a plethora of uses! Check it out:
1. Eliminate ants by placing used grounds on the entrance to the ant hill. Make sure to do this for every mound otherwise, they’ll just move to a new home.
2. Freshen up your kitchen drains! Dump your old grounds down the drain and pour a boiling pot of water over them. Takes out the odor in no time!
3. Need to dye a spot brown quickly? Soak the spot in a dish of strong black coffee. Remember that it won’t be color fast though.
4. Use them to clean any stainless surface. The grounds act as a scrubber and lift everything off the surface!
5. Compost! Coffee grounds are great additives to your compost pile and really help plants grow well!
6. Going fishing? Put your worms and bait in a can of moist grounds- it makes it easier to pick them up and keeps them alive longer.
7. Mix the grounds with your garden soil when planting. It helps keep root maggots at bay.
8. Hate your neighbor’s cat using your flower bed as a litter box? Put a stop to it by mixing some coffee grounds and orange peels together and placing around the edge of the flower bed. The cat will hate the smell and find someone else’s flowers to use.
Tyler’s Coffee…it keeps on giving even after the last cup!
